Seresta Dance Studio was established in 1993 by Christina Beskou.
Its goals are:
To artistically support her Company.
To promote Christina’s perception and dance “philosophy”.
To introduce Maria Fay’s Floor Barre Technique, an alternate progressive study on dance, formed by Maria Fay, and represented, developed, and promoted exclusively throughout the whole world by Christina Beskou.
To share Christina’s experience with everybody who loves dance.
Preparation of young dancers for their entry into professional schools of dance in Greece and abroad, including the R.A.D. examinations.
Collaboration with and promotion of young professionals, by offering a place for seminars and the opportunity to perform with Seresta.
Collaboration with Greek and foreign choreographers, dancers, teachers and various artists for the further training, betterment and development of the Seresta Dance Company.
A place and opportunity for those interested in creating and experimenting with dance art and choreography.
Development of dancers and maintenance of fitness during periods of injury, employing the Maria Fay Floor Barre Technique.
Opportunity for amateurs to have proper training, to become conscious of their bodies and to stay in shape.
Special classes for injured people and women during pregnancy, emphasizing gentle training exercises to obtain total control of the body.
To offer courses and licences for dancers and teachers who wish to teach Maria Fay’s Floor Barre.

Seresta Dance Studio has invited many teachers in Athens and has organized many seminars for: Maria Fay, David Drummond, Don Farnworth, State School of Dance of Athens, under the direction of Dora Tsatsou, Anna Petrova's School of Dance, Academy of Dance "Rallou Manou", Robert Noth and Jeffry Carter: Academy of Dance "Rallou Manou", Freddie Rutz, Peter London, Chinko Rafique, Tim Almaas, Dafni Asimakopoulou, Joanna Karagouni, Richard Paul Majewski, Stefani Tsakona, Ljubisha Peckovich, Veronica Kuttel, Pablo Medici, Csaba Kvasz, Christopher Matt, Dimitris Kaminaris, Stefano Fava and Alexandra Wood.
Lessons Children's classes: Ballet, Rhythmics, Judo, Hip Hop, Jazz, Mime Adult classes: Maria Fay's Floor Barre*, Ballet – all levels, Modern Dance Seminars: Tango, yoga, musical jazz, modern dance *exclusively in Seresta Dance Studio, under authority by Maria Fay Registrations from September 25, 6-9 pm |
